Talent in Transition is a group of diverse professionals, located on Long Island, NY, who have come together to develop a unique strategy for reaching out directly to the business community in order to promote the skills of its membership.

Understanding that the global economic downturn has created a paradigm shift forcing businesses to produce more with less, Talent in Transition is aware that innovative solutions must be offered. Multi-tasking, proficiency in different disciplines, and transferable abilities are the skill-sets which are now required to be successful in the current workforce.

Common wisdom dictates that organizations currently identify viable candidates by seeking individuals whose experience duplicates the job description. Such practices may not recognize that most descriptions are limited in truly defining the job’s roles and responsibilities, and that transferable skills and experiences offered by candidates could be easily overlooked. Organizations may be inadvertently passing on a prized added value which could greatly benefit their bottom-line.

Realizing that conventional methods of seeking gainful opportunities are saturated by crowds of other individuals, all of whom are following exactly the same processes, the Talent in Transition team has developed an alternative approach to finding opportunities for all of our members.

Recognizing that for executives, seeking valuable talent is a never ending quest, we are utilizing our collective experience to initiate a marketing campaign to leverage existing technologies and to chart a course to meet directly with key decision makers. Our goal is to develop a dialog in order to understand their business challenges, and at the same time, present them with the available talent to offer solutions both collectively and as individuals.
